By design, we serve a limited number of families and their single-family offices. Depth of service matters more to us than growth, so we add a new family only when we have the capacity to serve them at the standard our existing families expect — and all who join us arrive by referral from those we already serve. We can think of no better endorsement than a family trusting us enough to refer another.

We partner with first-generation wealth-creators — G1s. Our name reflects who we serve: the G1 wealth creator, and the G2s and G3s who follow. We are headquartered in Chicago, with an office in Austin, TX, and clients nationwide.

Our Story: How We Became the Outsourced Partner to Single-Family Offices
G1 was founded in 2008 as a multi-family office. Around 2020, referrals from the families we already served began bringing us others like them — families with single-family offices of their own. Some had offices that had outgrown the way they were built; some were ready to build an office for the first time. None wanted to start over. All wanted a partner who understood the work. We said yes.
What began as a handful of engagements became the direction of the firm. We built the team to match, drawing our people from the SFO world itself. And today we have fully embraced what those families showed us we were: the family office that SFOs turn to. Flat fee, no products, no investment advisory services, no competing interests. A conflict-free extension of your SFO — by design.
